How Preorders Work

GCMD operates on a small-batch, intentionally paced production model.
Some pieces are in-studio and ship quickly; others are created specifically for you through our preorder process.

This approach keeps each release considered, minimizes waste, and ensures every garment receives the attention it deserves.

What “preorder” means

A preorder item is a piece that enters production after your order is placed.
Each garment is:

  • sourced from our manufacturing partners
  • delivered to the studio
  • pressed with original GCMD artwork
  • hand-finished with care
  • prepared for shipment as soon as it is complete

This process allows GCMD to offer a wider size range without overproducing and keeps quality at the center of every release.

Shipping timelines

In-studio items:
Ship within 3–5 business days.

Preorder items:
Ship within 2–3 weeks.
Most orders arrive on the shorter end of that window, depending on when your garment enters the next production cycle.

If your order includes both in-studio and preorder items, they may ship separately so you can receive available pieces sooner.

Why GCMD uses a preorder model

GCMD is designed to operate with intention rather than mass inventory.
Preorders allow us to:

  • reduce excess production and fabric waste
  • keep our releases small, limited, and considered
  • maintain elevated quality across every piece
  • hand-finish artwork on each garment
  • support a slower, more deliberate creative process

This model is standard in small-batch and art-driven apparel and aligns with our commitment to thoughtful production.

A final note

Every GCMD garment is created with a blend of artwork, precision, and performance.
Preorders help preserve the integrity of that process and keep each piece aligned with the brand’s values: intentional, limited, and crafted with care.
